Life Brief's Candle

"I wish there were a rulebook for intimacy. Some kind of guide to tell you when you've crossed the line... You take it where you can get it and keep it as long as you can. And as for rules, maybe there are none. Maybe the rules of intimacy are something you have to define for yourself."

Charity - Old Folks Home

None of us has a crystal ball, and we don't know how our lives are going to turn out. Maybe better than we thought, perhaps worse !

When we are young, during our very bitter sweet childhood time, we all dream of owning our own home, and living in it as long as we can, and enjoying our Golden Years, etc. But, sometimes those dreams don't turn out as they should...
You know people usually say, when you're old,
• your child-hood toys are in museum
• at your age, flowers scares you !! _____________________________
So I've done 3 charity work during the past 1 week holidays, and one of it is spending my half afternoon talking to the old folks. It was one of the biggest old folks home I've ever been. Facility was good, has five stories and two cabins - built for old folks afflicted with ill health or disease and unwell.

Ground floor is the main office and the dining hall. Two stories for guys and another two for girls. As half of the people who lived there paid at least RM400 a month, some unfortunate lived for free.
As I reached 3rd floor, I walked into their little living room. All the grandma's there were hanging on their big sweet smile. One of them were wearing sunglasses, pretty cool. xD As the time passes by, we chatted with them about their lifestyle and ours.

One of them was standing leaning the wall starring at us. I walk towards her, wanted to start talking, but she stopped me. Pointed at her mouth, toothless. I stunned. She felt embarrassed, it strike my heart, the feelings was ... Just don't understand which freak of nature bare to see their own parents being abandoned / or lying down at the ''cold bed '' with pills aside.

Found this poem - The Old Folks Home
I sat there like a stranger, as if i was the one with no relevance.
The windows are like shields, the walls dark, like creeping shadows, beneath the crumbling roof, lies the worn bodies of another time.
They speak, they move, they eat, they drink.
No different to you or I, yet they are captured in this lonesome place, their long years, they emerged from all sides.
I could say that a mournful cry, as it escapes his deflated lungs, is worthy.
If that is so i watch him sleep, his pink chaffed lips, and his breath a hurdle, not a stride no more.
He is among the others, though they sleep with smiles, eyes peeled closed, and when the darkness beyond those eyelids opens once more to see that light, the torch will be theirs to follow, but for them to discover, a different light.
The walls around me centre my thoughts, folding in a dance to the floor, my feet edging as they sink into the pushed carpeting, this house of death, doomed for, life.

Black Day

Today, is officially my black day.
• The sky was a little gloomy, filled with humid air.
• Everything looks so inky, even my hand stained with a little black marker ink.
• People in school was giving a despairing look especially those students sitting for Trials Exam.
• The sky keeps drizzling, the rain drops sprinkle everywhere. So emotional.
• Cheryl Leong said I looked tanned, my poor fair skin.
• Piles of school work was at a dusky corner.
• Everybody seems to dressed with black clothes or shorts in tuition.
Sunshine scolded me for calling the day black. It wasn't meant to be racist -.-
• I'm typing with a lacking hue wireless keyboard and a mouse.
• Tonight will be extremely pitch-black. Stay at home.

He inspired me and make this whole photography thing an extensive journey. I just wonder how does his brain or knowledge can be so voluminous when comes to all this photography thing. haha. I miss it !!
He taught me about the lightning, perhaps shutter speed, so many things that i don't even know where to begin with. So thanks man xD
Anyone going strobing ?? I'm waiting.
